Due - Reminders & Timers App Reviews

Writing this after I woke up panicked 11/1, realizing I havent paid Nov rent. Opened Due and there it was, the reminder, sitting quietly in the overdue section. Noooo. Not the first thing Ive missed since the update, either. Ive had Due for years and its been a lifesaver. Its a staple and on my task bar. I depend on its ceaseless reminders for things like rent, taking meds, appointments that sneak up on you. Of course, the limit on # of repeat notifications has changed everything. Sounds like an iOS 10 issue, but I cant find anything about it online? At the very least, can the max number of repeat notifications be greater than 10? Im talking 100+, but anything would be better. Please fix or clarify! Love u Due. You havent been yourself lately. Please come back to me.

This version has been very unreliable it fails to trigger reminders and I get them hours after the fact. What good is a due app that reminds on random intervals?

Not really the developers fault, but reminders no longer appear since upgrading to iOS 10, rendering the app useless.

I love this app that keep track on my tasks. There are 2 issues still happen sometimes. However the issues now on iOS 10.1 is better than on ios 10.0. 2 issues are: 1. After creating a task and swipe left to finish editing, the app crashs. 2. It corrupts iOS and so iOS reboot.

Used to love, adore, and cherish this app. Ever since iOS 10, though, it has been a real disappointment. I realize that this was/is Apples fault, supposedly, based on how they revamped notifications. But even with the "fix" that has now been implemented, the old functionality and rock-solid reliability of Due no longer exists. Notifications often fail to fire, and even when they do, they will no longer endlessly repeat until acted upon. This has been a gigantic bummer, as I have relied on Due for many, many years, and am sad to say that it is no longer completely trustworthy to remind me to get something done. To the developer: what can we do to help you??? I would gladly pay $10 for a new version that actually works as it used to. Please, please bring back the old functionality.

Disappointed about the non-repeat alert. Thats the only reason I got this. Very disappointing

UPDATED REVIEW: Ever since the release of iOS 10, something about this app (notification snoozing? Dropbox syncing?) has started crashing my iPhone (at least once an hour). Ive tried everything to fix it, but the only thing that solves the problem is removing the app from my phone. Once the app is removed, the crashing stops. This app used to be great... One of my all-time favorites... But its unusable now. So sad. I really relied on it and loved it enough to buy the upgrade. Guess Ill have to find something else. :-( ORIGINAL REVIEW: A well thought-out and reimagined update of this essential app, bringing it into line with iOS 8 design and use parameters. I cant praise this app enough: it is simply and thoughtfully designed, customizable in useful ways, and the notifications are much more reliable than the built-in iOS Reminders. No need to create an account, which is great, and the natural language entry works very well. If you want something solid and straightforward without needless bells and whistles, this is the reminder app for you.

iOS 10 notification API changes kind of neutered this apps value for me :( hopefully they can come up with a better work around

This is the best reminder Ive had, and Ive had a few. It has an easy learning curb, great options, is simple and clean. Would like to see more alarms, or choose my own from my songs.

Does one task VERY well.

What a great app - makes such a difference to have your to-do list remind you just when you need it to. Really well thought out - it works like you would want it to. Also has a great timer feature (useful for cooking!).

...and fantastically simple.

I have fallen in love with this app. It is so easy to set reminders for anything and the timers are an added bonus. You can edit any reminders you have set, even use an old reminder by going into your log. Theres so much customization and some nice sounds to pick for the alerts and timers. I find myself looking for things to set reminders about. I love using the app that much.

tea timer, cooking, nap alarm, a nag from a recurring task; I use some aspect of this app every single day. Does not replace a reminders or to do app, but is excellent for keeping various often used countdowns and monthly / weekly tasks.

All day, everyday I use Due.

Saves my bacon every single day. I use it for work, for home and for things I need to remember to do next year (really!). I use it for daily stuff (take medicine, trash day, etc), and for big stuff (buy xmas and birthday presents -- which I often forget to do until its almost too late). I use it for my kid (when is chess club or which days does he need his trumpet? Due knows!). And its auto snooze function is truly what sets it apart. You can be sure that if you cant get to something right now, Due will not let you forget. Phew! Due is the only reason I get anything done -- much less on time or in time. Seriously, I can hardly remember what I did without it. No, I know -- I had sticky notes all over everything, constantly forgot things, and had way more stress about the 1 million things I feel like I have to remember on a daily basis. Thank you, Mr. Lin, you have made a truly useful app, and your updated features just keep making it better and better. Keep up the good work!

Been using for many months and love it. Easy to use and definitely recommend if you want an easy reminder tool.

This app is one of those apps that is very simple but you find yourself using all the time. I use it to remember to take my medicine everyday at the right time. When things get hectic its easy to forget but this app has really kept me on track. I also use it for those important 1-off tasks that need to get done. Simple but very useful!
